Please view each of the three videos just below this post to see why these craft people enjoy etched glass objects and why they like to work in this medium. You will also (hopefully) learn some proper technique and gain appreciation for the beauty of etched glass crafts. You will need to do more study before starting an etched glass project as these videos only cover some of the basic techniques required. Don’t be intimidated, however, as etching glass is probably one of the easier crafts in the glass art field to learn. Remember, I did not say it would be a snap! To make it easier for a beginner there are precut designs often available for reasonable prices. 

Be careful, adults only. These etching chemicals or etching creams contain harsh substances or acids (such as hydroflouric acid). If these chemicals can “eat” glass imagine what they can do to you! Wear rubber gloves or be cautious to not get the chemicals or creams on your skin. Watch your hands off right away if any “stuff” gets on you.
